Here's a cheap, simple way to keep images of every piece of rolling stock in your collection:-

It's a bit different, don't you think?  Anyone know how it was done?

Due to cutbacks, the light at the end of the tunnel has been switched off.

Is it just put on the scanner plate Max ?  If so, how do you close the cover or is that why eveything else is black - you leave the cover open ?

Just lay it on the glass and leave the lid open, Peter.  I turned off the room lights and turned the computer screen away from the scanner.  I have to admit that I did crop it and I fiddled with the brightness and contrast a bit.

I guess what amazed me most is the resolution of the scanner.  Anyway, it's something a little different and a bit of fun.

You're welcome, William.  Just don't print them off, or you'll have no black ink left.  :mutley

Too true Max :shock::shock::shock::shock::shock:  The ink would cost more than most of the stock did !!! ;-)

Whatever the value of the stock, it is indeed an excellent way to keep an inventory. :thumbs

Here's one I did of 3 of my trams - you do however, have the make sure the scanner is level !!!  Mine's an all-in-one with the bed on a slope and even the slightest tilt made the model slide down the screen.

Scanned on "full auto mode".   There is a "Professional Mode" but that takes 8 minutes to scan ………………..I may try that to see if there's a difference in quality.
