This is the very nice small signal box based on an L.N.W.R.design. The kit also includes a lineside hut and fuel store, not shown here but very nice and can be placed near the signal cabin or used elsewhere on the layout.

Certainly are Bob, I've enjoyed everyone of them so far and really only have the platforms left to do once I get my layout modules sorted.

I am updating my photo's here in the same threads to show my efforts with the same kits.

Do you think they would be improved with a little texture, perhaps scribing the brickwork?

They can be improved in many ways Mike. For the adventurous what you have is the complete structure of whatever the model is. You can ignore whatever finish has been applied and treat the whole thing as bare card. You don't have to stick with any of the kits choices, brickwork, woodwork, windows, steps or anything else. You can add your own finish to any of the flat surfaces. Good eh.

I had a look at the church kit before I built it. I thought that it would make an excellent template for anyone (aka Perry) who insisted that only Plasticard would do.
A sort of coloured scale plan if you like.

You've said it better than I did Jeff. Yes, it's a template for you to apply whatever finish you like.

What a great idea!! And not expensive for the benefits it would bring.   Not sure L would appreciate me doing that to those she has bought me though  :D  but it's something well-worth investigating.
