This first photograph shows the bare model as made up from the instructions. When I find the time I will put up a second photograph showing the same model in position on the layout with passengers etc.

Here are a couple from my finished build, as standard but with edges coloured.
Edges are coloured using felt tip pens, I bought a simple 30 pen set and have used 4-5 various colours for a close match. The make was 'inKraft' available at Sussex Stationers for a couple of quid.

Nice one Tony. I followed your advice and bought a set of felt tips from W H Smith for £1.99. Does the job a treat :!:

Nice one Jeff! you know it makes sense :D

Thanks guy's….I've really enjoyed the hits I've made and hope they will look good on the proposed layout. Only time will tell I guess.

I am looking at some plastic/plaster alternatives or replacements as time and funds allow.

Felt tips are probably excellent but I used water colour pencils with a sharp point. I needed to feel that I could rub out if I made a mess. They worked very well and of course you can use them dry for fine work or wet for more widespread work.

I cant remember the exact price but I got a pack of 12 colours in WHSmith, UK for not very much.

Good idea Les :)

There are some very tight angles on some parts I'm sure a sharpe point would get into better than a felt tip.
