Made to run on code 75 track

Triang Utility/luggage van.
I like the fact that all the doors opened so I fitted modern bogies and scale wheels..Not  bad for about £5 total and a little weathering…..Result!

Now that's a very neat unit mate, a very neat unit indeed.. :doublethumb

Did the windows have the white grills already ???????

Would have been a right royal pain in the Buttocks to get them so straight if one did it for ones self…

The only thing I can see wrong is that its not painted green and doesn't have GWR on the side ??????:mutley:mutley:mutley:mutley:mutley

Nice job, Sapperjethro.

Alan, the Triang / Triang-Hornby vans did come with the white printed window grilles, although they very rarely lined up properly out of the box. It didn't take much to correct this though.

They were never a completely accurate model, being a hybrid of two designs but they still looked the part and, as such, found their way onto many 'scale' layouts.

I have quite a few myself, including a couple that are being modified with Roxey Mouldings' brass etches and other detailing bits.

Kind of agree with Alan-2.

Having said that, I do like that van as it is too, it looks really good.

Always try to look on the bright side of life!

Thank you, I picked it up on fleebay a few years ago as a project as well as a far cheaper option to the offerings out there. And the opening doors were the main reason, plus I use Sprat & Winkle couplings.
