A day at Doncaster

Well what can I say? after casting my eye's over thousands of items and purchasing some transfers along with bits and bobs, a few diecast goodies at the right price, I spied a little beauty, Yes I thought a J94 and after haggling it was mine for £35

The condition is like new, It looks as if it has been sat on a shelf rather than used. In less than an hour it was chipped, serviced and with a fireman installed Number 19 is ready to join the stable.

The Longmoor stable is really starting to grow.

I am so glad I went to the Doncaster Toy and Train Fair. Just to look at that line up says just one word 'REsult'

Excellent Alan, lovely locos.I very nearly modelled LMR myself as my late father in law was in the army there and drove the trains.I have programs and train tickets from the last open day.I would love to see a working model of the converted landrover.Do you have a track plan?.

Regards

Alan

Sadly I don't have a track plan for Long Moor as it was actually massive I just started to get a bug for J94's and has turned into something of a obsession. When I was in the Royal Engineers I was stationed at Tidworth and whilst there I used to travel too and fro quite frequently to Longmoor towing various big trailers collecting large plant and equipment and delivering all over the country…Happy Days . My long standing comrade from those days is SPAPPERZANE who is also a member of this superb model railway club

There is a reasonable plan of the railway here, but I am sure you have seen this already:
