Part of my trackage will be hidden & I have started to provide the tunnel & related rock/cliff face

but so I can access the hidden track for cleaning & any derailments, the rock/cliff face to the left will need to be removable

so over the next few days/weeks, this will slowly be worked on.

Hi Sol,

Keep the pictures and the updates coming please. Always good to see others ingenious ways of getting round these teasers.

Cheers

Needing a frame to hold the card  criss cross base

The top sits on a couple of flat boards glued to the upper level

the bottom part off the frame has two nails through it that will sit in holes in the man base board - nails as guides.

both parts of the frame in position ready for the card sub-base

The fixed section & the liftout part had their first coat of paper towel brushed with watery PVA

The liftout section moved

An interesting project Ron and I look forward to seeing how it works out. I think I would have opted for a retaining wall rather than a rock face - but then I am probably more lazy!!

Yeah me too Sol….that looks pretty good.

You have got my attention because I`m going down the removable scenery road as well. Any tips will be gratefully stored in the old memory banks.

Very nice, seriously solid looking structures.
