so after asking around re the use of corrugated iron, while it was not used too much in the UK, my local station had it for years so I thought I will give it a try
each sheet glued on individually
now finshed the iron work & back on the platform
now to paint it a red-brown & thinking off doing a couple of sheets in a aluminium finish to represent new sheets & I will have to find a couple of workmen installing them.

I agree, I think a bit of rust adds reality to models. After all, what doesn't tarnish in life?
However, if you do put rust on you might want to reconsider adding workman finishing up the installation, unless of course, they are using very poor quality corrugated iron.

The CEO of the Private Railway - the D&S ,is reasonaably happy with the fencing & cost.
It stops people falling off the wrong side or getting impaled on fencing spikes exclam:
Now to finish off a lot more fencing.

The white card & the LHS are all done using Humbrol Matt #29 Dark Earth. RHS Humbrol Matt #62 Leather with the first light red-brown Tamiya XF-64 in the middle.
I think for ease of painting, spray the rear & posts & rails the Mission Brown but use Dark Earth on the front/passenger side.
Won't take long to re-paint the front.

You might like to try both acrylics and this mix. Your brown does look a little intense.
The mix might vary, but then in real life colours fade etc in different ways for different reasons.
