Yippee I've done it. The penny finally dropped that I'd attempted to upload pic's as jpeg not .jpeg. So I'll start putting spme pic's up of the small amount of progress I've made. All that trouble for the sake of a dot.

Scene-3-.jpg Scen-2-.jpg As I said before, it's a loose rendition… not the right word, I know, but it's the way I see it. Anyway I couldn't fit the small turntable in where there should be one, so I''ve put the Peco one in at the other end of the layout along with a Wills Craftman kit of an engine shed. That was an interesting build, particularly as there were bits missing. I emailed Peco and they were good enough to send me the parts free of charge.

I have a small single road shed for the end where a turntable should be. It's kit built but I can't remember which kit: Airfix or Dapol maybe? I've still got work to do on the chalk cliff face but I'll put a couple of pic's up anyway. I'm now building the Ratio Cattle dock kit and scratch building balsa wood platforms with help frpm my eldest Son. I've just finished the Ratio loco servicing depot. I've put a light inside the building and as I didn't like the plastic thing that passed for a light over the door, I made a working lamp over the coal cell with brass tube and an smd led.

Hope you like the next couple of pic's.

_Platform-3-.jpg _Platform-2-.jpg I've been a busy little bee just lately. Nothing like being reminded of ones mortality, eh.

Anyway I've made some progress with balsa wood platforms. A way to go yet but it's getting there.

I wonder why the text came between photo's 2 & 3. I wrote the text before putting the photo's up.

Servicing-.jpg A bit of progress. The cattle dock's nearly finished. I've baulked at the price for cattle wagons nowadays. The goods shed is where it's going to stay. The water tower/coaling stage is a nice kit from Ratio and the station building was a Birthday present from friends… it look really small on that platform. As you've seen, I built the platforms with balsa wood and I've scribed the tops, painted them a hopefully timber colour and washed some black in to the grooves.

Still slow progress, but I'm getting there. I've built the footbridge, cut off the bits of plastic that should represent light and built some working one's.

Some decent progress. Like the water tower arrangement. Can you load an overall track plan to give me a better idea of the layout overall or at least a rough sketch or high level photo. It would be nice to see how it all fits together.

Thanks, Dave. I'm about as good with a camera as I am at modelling or drawing but I'll give it a shot with a track plan.

As requested by Dave from Murcia, here's my attempt at a drawing of the Wadebridge layout, so far. I hope it's not too disappointing.

Thanks for posting the overall plan, does help to put stuff in context. Looks like there will be interesting operational options. Looking forward to the next installment.

Thanks, Dave. I've seen a very nice N guage Wadebridge which is much better than I can ever match, but as you say, it should give me some interesting operating. I will try and do a video of the layout, but I then have to get it on to the site. Fingers crossed.

Looking very good. Your shed looks fab. I like seeing how you formed your station platforms into nice curves, and the track snaking and flowing around. Some lovely details on the water tower!

I'll look forward to seeing some more photos as it progresses!

All the best

Just to add. My eldest son helped me with the marking out and cutting the balsa wood for the platform. I scribed the planks with the back of a hobby knife. The foot bridge is a kit. I had to do a bit of surgery to get the steps facing different ways. The engine shed is a Wills craftsmen kit. I don't think I'll go that way again. :-)

There's meant to be a small turn table at the end where the small engine shed is, but that wouldn't work for me, so the large TT is at the other end. I use modellers licence to explain that huge departure from the track plan.
