Thanks Marty,

The problem, well, one of the problems with doing a video like this with an iPhone is the closeness and depth of field, as only a small amount in the frame is in focus, so as the camera is moving, the screen has to be tapped at various points to get things in focus!

I have another one done, it's on my PC somewhere, I'll post it when I find it!

Brilliant Phil. :staff_silvio5nm:

If I didn't know otherwise, it could be a real scene.  Lovely flakey weathering on the nissen hut roof - we had a couple of those at home when I was a youngster and the sheeting went exactly like that - maybe something to do with the tin or paint they used during the war …………..

Thanks Guys, I wish there was a better way of doing a video on the move like this without a tripod which doesn't give the same effect, a minature camera dolly is the answer  :ninja:  although the depth of field would still be an issue!

I've seen it in the Hornby mag and it's just as stunning as it is on the web.

Cheers Pete.

Congratulations. Must try and see if the magazine is available on my online service or maybe I'll pick up a copy, if I can find one, when I am back in the UK in a couple of weeks.

Thanks Pete, Dave and Ed, I think I'm running out of magazines now has it's been in Model rail twice but that was some time ago, and also Railway Modeller, anyway, it's nice to see it in print!

Sadly, it appears my online magazine supplier "Readly" no longer publishes Hornby Magazine - or rather, Hornby Magazine no longer use Readly for online publication.

Unless I can get a copy from UK, I don't think I'll see the article …………………

For those interested, "Readly" posts online versions of many magazines which can be read for a single monthly fee.  There doesn't appear to be any limit to the number of magazines one can read provided of course, they are made available to "Readly" by the publisher.  I currently get Model Rail, BRM and Railway Modeller along with a few car and photography magazines etc.  As I said, whilst Hornby Magazine used to be there, it no longer is.  Certainly much cheaper than my old hard copy subscriptions used to be !
