I'm still very much in the planning stages, but it will be 2 scenic boxes,I fiddle yard with traverser or cassettes.I'm also hoping to have a working turntable, and there will be a double main line running across the front giving maximum versatility for photo opportunities.
I'll hopefully post some pics or diagrams soon.
While I've got a vast GWR fleet,I've decided to sail slightly unfamiliar territory here, but I do have a growing LMS loco stud.
I'm going to make it as filthy and grimey as I possibly can…I've been greatly influenced by an O gauge LMS MPD that I saw at Doncaster Show.
More Soon.

Looking forward to seeing how you go about fitting a working turntable and a double track main line into a box file in 'N' :thumbs

Do you have a kit in mind for the large shed ?

Not too sure yet whether the Engine Sheds will be kit or scratchbuilt. Not even sure yet whether to use card or plastic/plasticard.Lots of research is going to be needed too,as the LMS is a little outside of my usual GWR comfort-zone! I particularly need to research the coaling-up side of things.
I've got a ROUGH mental image of how it'll all look, and when I get time,I'll post an "artists' impression" of what it'll look like.

That's better than me John, I just keep thinking of different things to add, and I still cannot decide on plastic or card, I am favouring card covered with printed paper ! so I am way off an "artists' impression"
LMS Thats all that stuff from "up north " init, bit on the maroon side of the colour scheme, brass bands and all that ;-)

When I said"cardboard box…….you were lucky!!"…..that was a reference to the Monty Python famous "4 Yorkshiremen"sketch, where 4 Northerners try to outdo each other about how hard they had it as kids.
eg."there were 84 of us livin'in t'shoe-box in t'middle o't'road!!"
"….Cardboard box??? You were were lucky. There were 300 of us livin in a paper-bag on a septic tank!",and so on.

Thanks for posting that mate,I'd forgotten that I'd started this thread, what with doing the improving RTR locos one!…….Must get around to posting some track plans for this so I can get some feedback. Its NOT going to be in Filing Boxes anymore,I'm thinking slightly larger, more like the YMR modules.Henry Parrots MPDs were an influence here!
As already said somewhere else,I've come up with the name Shepley Shed for this one.
I intend to base the shed itself and the coaling stage on those at Mirfield, and I've been very kindly donated an ex-Midland signal box,so if the purists can look the other way,I think I can live with the mixture of ex-Midland and ex-L&YR,as they both ended up absorbed by the LMS.
The occupants/performers will be Duchesses,Jubilees,Royal Scots,Black Fives,4Ps,Jintys,and an 8F.The period very loosely somewhere between the 30s and 40s.
More to come soon.
