Small industrial Railway

Hi All,
This plan was made to use Peco Code 75 short Electrofrog  12° Turnouts

For friends of shunting puzzles this trackplan is a combination of a Timesaver & Inglenook in Addition with a Railway Ferry Barge.

Such small industrial Railways could be found at the New York City Area.

The above plan addopting this idea but it is not originally based upon a real prototype track plan. I modified it for own use.

The layout modules have both the dimensions of 150 cm x 45 cm.

The Carfloat Ferry Barge can hold 8 Goods Cars of each 15 cm length.

The shunting Loco should have around 15 cm in length, too.

The straight track in the above module has the track centers 15 cm from the background.
Onto both modules is a 90° Curve of tight 42 cm radius. It is possible to clamp the Harbour Scenery Module onto the right middle Track in the above module or onto the green straight track in the left, to make an other Module arrangement. Only two tracks are desighned to hold three cars all other tracks will hold two cars.
In my module arrangement you can storing all 8 Wagons from the Ferry Barge after unloading it.
Alltogether 14 Wagons of each in length of 15 cm can be used to work this shunting puzzle.

Shunting rules:
In the beginning of the job you need unloading the Ferry Barge safely so it will be not undergoing.
The shunting Loco may not run onto the Barge, use the 2 Ballast Bridge Wagons stored in the left green track.
Do storing the Bridge Wagons back onto their track otherwise you will blockade yourself by further shunting operations.
Use in maximum three Wagons by shunting operations.
The End of Train car need change the position when loading the Barge. It will be the last car by unloading and last car by loading cars onto the Ferry Barge.

Ideal Locomotive would be a Saddle Tank Steam Tender Engine or 60 ton Allgeier Box Cab Diesel like the CNJ Demonstrator.

Happy shunting job.
