Great stuff Barry,
You have certainly done your research for your planned Bromsgrove build.
Will you be tempted by the old Midland 0-10-0 Licky banking loco in the future.
All the best for the build.

Derek.

Derek.

The era I plan to model is 1958 - 1965. Big Bertha finished in 1956.
However, the temptation is great!

Thank you all for the positive comments - gobsmacked really!

Worked OK for me Barry. Lot of planning and thought gone into the project. I'll have to try that myself one day. The planning and thought process that is.

Looking at the size of that stud work, how much space are you losing Barry?

Barney, the batons are 4" - the wall is only single skin, so Building Regs  insist.
I'm losing approx  10" in length and  6" in width.
It's a necessary loss I'm afraid.
Been speaking to the 'leckie this morning - those LED spots aren't cheap!

Shame that your projects building reg's dictate you have to lose nearly a foot in length Barry. Size matters a lot in our hobby.

Barry - as an electrician, I would have to say that LED downlighter cans are abut £12 each plus fitting - and thats my West London price - not sure about Peckham.  I get annoyed when trades charge enormous amounts to do basic jobs, especially at construction sites where you have full access and cable runs are easy to lay.

On a different front, whilst I am not a fan of N gauge (too small for my fingers and eyesight!), Bromsgrove looks great. You have created a feeling of space which is often missing from layouts.  The overall colour tones are good too.  I look forward to more vids and updates.
