Cleaning

Hi All.   Catching up with Inglenook Junction, I need to do some painting, but, which paint do I use? And then how do I clean the brushes. This painting includes plastic kits which would require a different paint from that of Balsa or plaster or whatever the scenery is made of. Best wishes Kevin 

Acrylics work for plastic Kevin and, before it's dry, brushes can be cleaned with water so no fumes etc.

For plaster snd such, ordinary household emulsion paints - also water soluble.

In a confined space, try to avoid enamels because they need thinners/ white spirit to clean up - bad for your health !!

Acrylics are pretty much across-the-board standard now.  As Peter says the brushes can be washed in water (I find adding a bit of washing-up liquid helps) and all's well.  No fumes, no solvents other than what you normally have in your taps.  Good result.
