B&M
Hurrow!Searching for some acrylic mirror sheet about A4 size to try an 'speriment, I couldn't get anything at a reasonalble price, so started to trawl the 'Cheapy' shops for ordinary small glass mirrors that I could cut up.
I found a shop called B&M, that I have never been into before, and like trees, they seem to have branches everywhere…[Sorry]
I found a 4ft x 1ft mirror advertised as a 'Door Mirror' for £5.99p in a white plastic frame. Chippendale it ain't, but it has proved to be pretty good 2mm mirror glass which cut easily enough with a glass cutter after I realised it wasn't plastic.
I have decided to try it out under my footbridge, and have used it as I did in France to re-direct window light to where I am working.
Poop-poop,
Douglas
[That's it, £5.99 spent this week on frivolities, I'll have to lie down in a darked room to get over the trauma…]

Just out of interest, why are you putting a mirror under your footbridge?

'Cos I want there to be light at the end of the tunnel….Seriously, I want to disguise the edge of the backscene support board as it passes over the 'river', in other words, to give an impression of light in that area. The problem in illustrating it is as soon as you point a camera at it to show the effect, you get a picture of the camera lens, so herewith a couple of slanted shots which I hope will explain somewhat.
Please excuse the large green mattress in the river, I'm still 'seenicking' the old fashioned way, waiting for the PVA to dry under a piece of dyed hanging basket liner before pulling off the outer layers etc.
Without the mirror there would only be a view of a piece of M.D.F.

Have you room/scope for this? That's a scene printed onto tracing paper, stuck across the back of a 3 inch long tunnel and natural light allowed to fall on it. An led in a ping-pong ball would do the same.
