I’ve just watched Peco’s ‘Autumn Watch’ on their YouTube channel, which gives an interesting insight into their new manufacturing capabilities, but also contains long awaited good news on Code 75 bullhead track and other product availability.

The new track tooling is pretty much there, although the assembly space seen later in the video, still needs workbenches and equipment installing, so I suspect that it will be springtime until we get our hands on all the new points and slips, but I’ll be joining the pre-order queue as soon as I can.

The 20 minute programme is well worth watching.

  Best,

At 6'4'', Bill is a tall chap, then again, when horizontal he is rather long and people often used to trip over him! . . . and so a nickname was born :)

Thanks Bill,

Most interesting progress from PECO on Bullhead Turnouts and slips (at last).

Perhaps best if I start a new topic as my first samples of an alternative turnout from British Finescale have hit my workbench and these kits offer the option of a wider range of sizes. In particular the PECO SL-E190 and SL-U1190 double switches appear to approximate to B5 Turnout size which I feel is quite tight. My design works better with B6 or B7 which gives much gentler turns. I've been told British Finescale will be offering Double switches of B6, B7 +  geometry in a similar time-frame to PECO.
