a quick question. I am building a very old Roxey mouldings plastic LSWR 4 1/2 set. This includes moulded ventilators that have to be cut out and cemented in place above the droplights.

Now, my near 60 year old eyes are having huge problems seeing these, let alone cutting them out, and I was wondering if anyone knew of an etched brass replacement? I've looked on all the usual websites, including roxey. Phoenix, comet, bill Bedford etc, and can't find any, but I'd like to get these right and save my eyes if possible!

Any ideas please?

Have you tried E-Mailing Dave Hammersley at Roxey Mouldings or even ringing him? He is a most helpful and friendly chap and may have a solution for you.

I have a similar problem with my 81 year old eyes in N gauge with etched brass Ironclads and Maunsells from Worsley Works!

Thanks Mark - I've had a reply on another forum, but those are castings rather than etchings. If I can't find any I'll use those. Yes, Dave is always very helpful - none are listed on his website, and the etchings included in his later brass coaches are included in the main fret, but worth giving him a call.
