Inexpensive stuff you can find anywhere

Hi All,

…inside the boxes of my favourite "Coffin Nails" of brazilian cigars, you can find two of these cardstock pipes as spacers. It are ideal to collect them and to paint them black.
They are ideal to be used as bigger Pipes for pipelines or when painted in concrete grey than to be used as manure pipes.

I used some of them for an oil project as possible pipeline pipes.

IHC Rail & Tie Car modifyed as Pipeline Car…I am not very familar with wet decals, so the lettering is the next project to learn the techniques first.

Well yes, inexpensive stuff for wagon loads can indeed be found almost anywhere, even in inappropriate places not suitable for everyone.

Well meant, unfortunately not as 'ideal ' as suggested.

Stay safe.

At 6'4'', Bill is a tall chap, then again, when horizontal he is rather long and people often used to trip over him! . . . and so a nickname was born :)

A well intended point though.  A random bright yellow "inner" from a roll of something I can't remember…

…. painted and chained with a balsa baulk underneath.  Now taking its place in the goods yard 2nd from the right.

I've spent a lifetime collecting all sorts of weird stuff that "might make a good wagon load".  Most got discarded when I came to the "Wagon Project" but I was glad that I did not have to buy everything I needed.

Hi Barry,
Inexpensive anchor chains in very small size can be found in the ship model  scene, there are available some other stuff available, too, in different scales. Anchors, canons, wooden barrels or boxes and some more stuff. Ship planks or different kind of wooden beams in any diameter and lengths. The wooden materials I often use for building structures, too.
