Hi Andy. Thank you for your reply . Finger nails??? You must have sharp nails. Anyhow I keep my nails short as they are liable to break when I am trying to do odd jobs with them.  Best wishes. Kevin

Score the plastic on one side very gently with a sharp scalpel (hold down on a piece of wood in your case). Hold tightly in one one hand, pull the end off with the other. Works with my 32 gauge wire.

Hi Nigel.   Thank you. The latest batch of “ Layout Wire “ c/o Hattons on 100 metre reels, seems to be of a better quality than the other layout wire that I have purchased. And I have now adjusted a pair of strippers and reserved them for that wire.   Best wishes. Kevin
