Lighting your back-scene etc?

Some caravan chums gave me a heads-up for this product…..
May be useful to us, too.

Over the last few Christmases, I have picked up the white LED light tubes for just a few Australian dollars when they have been sold off after Christmas is over.

This year I picked some up for some friends as well from Dick Smith's stores: 6 metres for under $AUS8.00 and 12 metres for under $AUS15.00. While they have all sorts of fancy flashing sequences, they can be set to a solid, continuous light too.

They might be suitable for mounting behind a pelmet for layout lighting but I use them for working under the layout and also inside computer cases. Because they are flexible they can be draped wherever the light is most needed.

Yep, got some bargains in Homebase (UK) on Xmas eve. LED and grain of wheat bulb Christmas sets for silly money. OK they might need to be stripped down to each bulb/LED but…

I have got around a thousand of each for a fraction of what they would cost from a 'Hi de hi' (hello shoppers) supplier!!!
