Some piccys taken from the boards of the Staverton Signal Box

9466 and 6430 double heading a 6 coach train….way too much power.

1501 in the station siding with a Toad and a parcels/guards van looking back down the line to Bishops Bridge. This type of loco' was used at Paddington as pilot, pulling off the passenger stock after arrival, a beast of an engine.

Despite the notice 'Passengers are prohibited..etc' Mr Senior Numpty didn't think it applied to him, greatly frustrating the law abiding snappers on the platform anxious for a clear shot of 1501. Some spirited use of the cylinder drain-cocks eventually convinced him otherwise.

9466. This loco needed two firemen on the footplate to balance the weight of the driver….

Finally, 6430 with a goods working.

Hope they are useful,

Poop-poop

Beautiful photos indeed. I agree that the power is excessive, but I'm sure the locos are glad to stretch their wheels all the same. And long have cylinder draincocks been an engine's chide unto rascals.

Great photos Doug

The driver on 9466 must have posed for the Modelu3D resin 3D print of a driver I have just bought - he's a big lad!!

SWMBO & I have a trip every year on the evening dinning train this year it's not running and our favorite hotel has gone into liquidation after I had booked a Sunday lunch train fortunately Barclaycard has refunded the deposit today and I have secured a room at another hotel.
The photo is from last years Ocean Liner Express themed evening with my dearheart standing next to the coach we travelled in..
