Just noticed a thread on RMweb that Hattons are having a sale.

Nothing really of interest for me, but there do appear to be some reasonable saving on O gauge locos.

I trawled through all the "OO" stuff Ed but was slightly disappointed.  I didn't see anything much to set me on fire pricewise.

Quite a bit of stuff I'd like but, for the "Sale of the Century", I'd have expected bigger discounts on many of the items.  The average seemed to be around 5% to 10% less than their normal "Bargain" price.  I'd be prepared to dig deep for "real" bargains but not for the odd £10 or so.

They say it's mainly clearing out overstocked items so have a proper clear out !!  Maybe they're already at rock bottom prices, in which case, maybe they should accept a hit on some of the items - your first loss is always your best.

There were a few real bargains in the OO section, but nothing I REALLY need.

I trawled through some of the SR items only to find that all the new discount did was bring Hatton's prices into line with the current Rails of Sheffield ones…. ;-)

That's interesting Robert.  Maybe they were out of kilter with Rails and have claimed realignment is a massive sale ……………..
