Sadly,I have to inform the forum of our friend Frank Collins' passing last month. While scrolling through Facebook earlier this morning,I came across a message from"Sam's Bostin' Bites",Frank's favourite local cafe, announcing they would be closing for Franks funeral on the 23rd. Looking on his account, his last post on FB was on the 21st of July and RIP messages were being posted from the 27th of July,so he must have passed away some time between those dates.
He was friends with me on FB and we kept in touch, he had been in and out of Hospital for a few years for various check-ups, yet kept his sense of humour, and you felt that things would be alright and somehow he would get through it all OK.Sadly that was not to be.
He was one of the group of us that got together for the YMR Exhibition at Carn Brea, and apart from being one of the nicest people you could hope to meet, had a wicked Brummy sense of humour that endeared him to us all.An extremely talented modeller and an electrician by trade, he was a prolific poster on this site and an invaluable source of information for those of us who knew little or nothing about electrics.
I am sorry to be the bearer of such bad news, but I know many people on this forum would want to know.his funeral took place on the 23rd of August.
RIP Dukedog,our old friend x.

I only met him the once - at the YMR "do" at Carn Brea half a lifetime ago now. As you say, I recall he had a wicked sense of humour and indeed, was a brilliant modeller.
If you are in touch, please pass on my condolences to his family.
