Pen Y Bryn is a superb layout, and like John, one of my favourites. Almost so good as to make me take up another hobby! Thankfully it just acted as inspiration, even if I may not get to this high standard. And I like the idea of a B/W photo……
And Kaiser is right, Ben's Far North has such great detail and everything always looks just right.
But my vote this month is going to….
Beautiful modelling, a super photo and a thank you for all the tips, how to's and inspiration freely given.

My selection this month will come as no surprise to most of you - a scene from one of my all-time favourite layouts, John Dew's Granby Junction 1948 N. Wales - simply bursting with detail superbly modelled :

To me, one of the delights of this "Picture of the Month" thread is looking again at the wonderful photos posted on here. Whilst wandering back through the threads, some of them spanning several years, one is reminded of the stunning level of modelling some of our members are able to achieve. I can't speak for others but they are an absolute inspiration to me - something very important when one models alone. It will be years before I exhaust the supply of pictures having sufficient quality to head up this band of very lucky railway modellers.

This one will get my vote! Fantastic layout.

There are so many excellent photos from many superb layouts on our forum and I'm sure all will feature in the comming months for POTM, so for this month, I nominate this shot of John Dew's GWR / LMS urban landscape from Granby.

At 6'4'', Bill is a tall chap, then again, when horizontal he is rather long and people often used to trip over him! . . . and so a nickname was born :)
