Photo's!

Last night was the first real test of using the shed as a 'warm room' for astrophotography as well as railway modelling!
Apart from a few early gliches, all ran smooth.

Here are 2 photo's I took, M31 the Andromeda galaxy and M33 the Triangulum galaxy. Both 2.3 million light years away!

Cheers
Ron

That's a good moody looking shot Ron - a clear night here so I tried it with my ordinary camera but got little more than a white dazzle.  Didn't stay up for the eclipse.

Doug, those are great shots Sir.  What did you take them with ?

Hi Ron,

Nice.

I managed to get a few shots of the moon last night. No tripod, and holding the camera steady for a second or so leaning while over the balcony on the 9th floor and pointing skywards with the camera on electronic telephoto means they're not the greatest. First time I think I've seen one these alignments. World seems normal this morning, so a false alarm as usual. Although I did see NASA was moved to say a few calming words.

I must admit the missus and I were underwhelmed to say the least, it was misty and freezing and I have seen the moon much much bigger in the past, and as for blood red it looked more like muddy brown, ah well only 18 years to the next one :???:.

Cheers, Pete.

it was already on fire when I got here, honest!
