Anyone remember Mr Pastry?

I've been trying out some 'Supercast' figures  http://modelrailwayfigures00.co.uk/   a somewhat quirky set of white metal Edwardian figures. They seem to be nearer 1/72 than OO-1/76 as the dapper chappy above scales up to 6ft-4", a giant for the times who makes the Dapol series look very short. A quick average over 4 of those gives adult males at 5ft-11".
So, if you're looking for a Mr Pastry, a Sherlock Holmes and a Dr Watson to add to your layout, be sure to pose them away from the Dapol crew!

Yep. Mr Pastry does bring back memories.
I also remember seeing him live at a charity cricket match. It must have been scripted but to my childish mind (I was probably around 8 or 9 years old at the time!) it was very funny - the commentator had to direct him to face the right way and get ready for the ball and there were a whole heap of other mishaps and mistakes!
