Cheap and cheerful if I could login

Hi Petermac. After a delay , I have placed my first PRC travellers in my Hornby 2HAL and what a job it was. I didn’t realise how much I would have to chop down by. Best wishes Kevin

Staying on the thread Kevin.

Hi Kevin the different prices are for different scales. If you click to choose say,  a Driver, you then get a drop down tab with all the different scales. Once you choose your scale you will see the relevant price for the number of pieces/ scale you have chosen. The price goes up, the larger the Scale you select. OO looks to be £4.50 per person
Cheers

Going to weigh in here.
A lot of those Chinese bulk figure packs seem to actually be closer to 1:96 or 1:100 if you take a close look at the listings. Probably fine for carriage and automobile interiors though, especially in HO.

As for actual HO figures, those generally work fairly well in OO scale because people are so variable in size. And as others have noted, they can actually fit more readily into coach seats and cars. I'd say the one place it's truly essential to have actual OO scale figures is on the footplate. An HO figure placed in an OO cab will scarcely be visible through the windows (unless they've got a thick base under them).

As an aside, some American manufacturers - namely Lionel - actually flirted with OO scale decades ago. But unlike British OO (which uses HO track), this OO scale used its own track gauge (probably equal or close to EM).
