Clear plastic packaging

Hi All.   The clear plastic packaging used by Bachmann is okay when it is new , but, when you keep putting the loco or WHY away, the plastic cracks, spoiling the packaging . Could one of you kind members tell me when This type of packaging was introduced ? And did that replace the foam for a better, cheaper, or more efficient packing material? It does seem better that having bits of foam everywhere . And is there a more efficient way of storing or transporting your beloved rolling stock when not in use?  Kevin

You could always make up some stock boxes Kevin to suit your particular requirements.
