It's that long ago that I fitted all of mine I can't remember if there were any instructions.

However, to mount the yellow plastic container lugs I tend to stick them in with a little Blu-Tack or black-tack (Homelux Bath Seal). I also put a little in the holes on the containers, put the plastic lugs into those holes then line them up with the holes in the wagons. This means that I can still easily remove or swap containers, or use different sized containers, yet they won't just fall off the wagons with rough handling or any derailments.

I don't recall fitting any other bits to the wagons although I'm sure there were some spare detailing parts for them.

I do replace the inter-wagon couplings at the inner (single buffer) ends with Kadee #17s, with the droppers cut off (the wagon pairs would never normally be split during any shunting operations). I usually have to file a small flat on the bottom of the dummy coupling hook and also file the rough edges of the top of the rivet on the couplings.

Within my rakes of these wagons I use Kadee #18 or #19 couplings (I can't recall which for sure right now). I leave tension locks at the outer ends of the rakes as most of my locomotives still have those fitted.

Edit: Additional: I do remember that there were two plain couplings in the pack as well, tension locks without any hooks.
