I understand that the suppressors become redundant with decoder fitted

Hi All. Although I have fitted a decoder into Hornby DCC ready Locos previously, but, I may have got it wrong, even though the Locos works. Knowing that the suppressors are redundant, I will have to review my past work, the question being do I cut the wires???   Best wishes Kevin
