Wall Wart

Hi All.  I went into my local Maplin store,  clutching my Wall Wart, and asked them if they could supply me with a Panel Mounted socket to accept the 12 volt supply. They looked at me as if I was stupid:lol::lol::lol: ROFL.All they wanted to do was sell me another one. I told them that I wanted to use the Wall Wart for something else without having to cut off the plug. Can anyone advise me on where to buy a socket to match???
All the best. Kevin

Hi Kevin

We have JayCar here.  They are electronics hobbyists who sell security cameras, quad copters, sound gear; that type of thing.  They sell those plugs, banana plugs, RCA stereo plugs; etc.

Do you have something like that?

Hi Max.  Thank you for your reply. The only shop that sells that sort of gear as far as I know, is Maplin. There was RadioShack all over London one time, and when I was into Hifi there was a lot of shops in
Tottenham Court Road.  I will have to have another look.  All the best. Kevin

At 6'4'', Bill is a tall chap, then again, when horizontal he is rather long and people often used to trip over him! . . . and so a nickname was born :)

Hi Bill.   Thank you for your reply.   But, I didn't want to do it that way, my idea is to have it as it isUnplugable, that way I can keep all leads together .   All the nest. Kevin

You should be able to get one on eBay Kevin, if you now the plug size.

These might have one and they advertise on eBay as well.

Hi Bill.   I hope you are well. Since I began this thread I have found an advert for a company " Lighting Ever".And they advertise a 12 volt wall wart.   "New".  With the female socket to match, for a very reasonable price.
    All the best  Kevin
