Various shops in the county town of Montgomery.

The wonderful Bunners! A genuinely old fashioned style of ironmongers where you can still buy one nail or a nut and bolt if you wish. All manner of interesting things are still kept in a huge cabinet full of wooden drawers. Inside it's like a rabbit warren of rooms demanding inspection.  Worth going to Montgomery just to visit this shop alone.

I don't recall seeing one but then wasn't really looking for one. Which street was it in?

Hi David.

The town appears to have a unique architectural style - a bit like Georgian meets mock Tudor.
Glad there are 2 N's instead of 2 M's in the ironmongers !

Not far from the Ironmongers and the Market Hall, David.

A few years back I stayed with some friends at the Mock Tudor pub/hotel.
The heavily advertised event of the week was a Jazz Band.
The venue was crowded at the start and virtually empty after ten minutes!

I particularly remember the trumpet player was in carpet slippers and leaning heavily against a post.
