Fitting a sound decoder to a Vitrains Class 37

Has anyone fitted a sound decoder to a Vitrains class 37? This is my first dabble at fitting a sound decoder. I intend fitting one to my Vitrains class 37's, any tips and advice on where to put the speaker would be much appreciated Thanks in advance Andy

Speaker(s) can be located inside the body, over the bogie towers, facing downwards. The sound escapes through the bogies. Make sure they have sealed rear enclosures.

The fuel tanks are filled with cast metal, so no space there.

I published a Step by Step Guide to fitting sound to ViTrains Class 37 in Hornby Magazine Issue 45. I used a ZIMO sound decoder with my own sound project (available from Digitrains) but if you want to spend more money, you could fit a Loksound in the same way.

Kind regards,

Paul
