So the Rail Road P2 has appeared, but no TTS sound version yet.

Looks and sounds good Paul. Did TTS have this decoder in stock, or did they/you produce it just for the Hornby loco? What do you think of the model itself?

TwinTrackSound is the proprietry new Hornby sound decoder which is due to debut with the 'detailed' version of the P2 model. But it hasn't appeared yet.

I've created this particular P2 sound project for ZIMO decoders. Both locos and decoders are available now from www.digitrains.co.uk

The version in the YT is the RailRoad edition £77.50. The 'enhanced' version has more detailed decoration, more lining etc, but otherwise appears very similar. I don't know if the motors are the same.

The Hornby TTS will be DCC sound-installed based on the 'enhanced' model.

First impressions of the RailRoad version - lot of loco for the money, glazed cab windows a pleasing surprise addition. Runs very smoothly out of the box and is quite heavy too. I like it a lot.

I saw the enhanced version today - just available. It does look more 'complete' with the additional decoration, but costs £125, which is a lot more.

The TTS version willl cost around £140, so if the sound is good, will represent a bargain as mine cost £160 with the decoder, but is only the RailRoad version.

Hi Paul, very interested in your fitting of sound to the P2, having just rec'd mine. ( I went for the upgraded version because I had a discount voucher to use )What speaker/speakers did you fit and where. Also glad to hear you have made a sound file of this loco, not showing on Digitrains website yet, presumable it will be available. Cheers Mike S

The enhanced version of the P2 is a very attractive model indeed. It has the same moulded features as the RailRoad version, but these are done really well on both versions and make the model easier to handle. The additional decoration, lining etc does lift it to a higher level.

Yes, Digitrains have this project available, but it may take a while for it to be listed on their site. A 'phone call or email to them will sort it for you.

Hi Paul,Thanks for quick reply.  Yes I would like to be on your mailing list as I have many of your Deisel sounds on Zimos from Digitrains and news etc would be good straight from the horses mouth, so to speak. The P2 would be the first steam file, but I want a Tornado and an A3 as well, which I think Digitrains do with your files. But I am new to this bulliton board lark,  PM? Project Moderator?
