Have you a desire to have sound on your layout but do not want to spend all that cash on sound decoders for each of your steam/diesel.
Then why not make a sound car that can be added behind any of your locos.
Check out   SBS4DCC - Home  for kits/videos  to do this.

Sounds similar to the UK's Train-Tech product (www.train-tech.com)
I tried the diesel option and was disappointed as it kept using the horn every 30 secs or so!!
Not sure about the steam version, they do a stand at most of the bigger rail shows?

I've seen the "Mylocosound" at a show Sol - it looked pretty good although it too, was limited to "generic" sounds. :thumbs
