These photos show some of the buildings that survive on the site. The history books indicate that the foundry moved to the site when the railway opened to Llanidloes in 1859. The site is adjacent to the old station and was rail connected. Apparently it manufactured all manner of brass and iron works for the Cambrian railways as well as making agricultural and mining equipment. Although it outlived the railway it is no longer a foundry. There were also workers houses built at the same time and the photos of these are in the domestic buildings section.
