Queen Hotel is next to Chester railway station and the mews area harks back to an earlier age.

Chester station is on the left and the hotel buildings to the right.

I'd like to see you build a model of this Hotel…! Great looking building with all the architraves, window arches and all the different angled walls. Now that would be a challenge.

Cheers, Gary.

It certainly would be a challenge. Hours of work just to get that gate post looking right!

Hi Allan
Do you remember how you did the little ornamental fascia blocks that support the ledges? Are they just square section plastic with the front face cut at an angle?  Very distinctive LNWR style.

Hi Ray.

I think you might be talking about the corbles here. Anyway, there are several ways to go about this but,and with due respect, let me suggest the simplest way - Evergreen quarter round section chopped to length.

Also you can buy whitemetal corbels from SCALELINK who cast quite a selection, but if you're going around a building with them you'll need hundreds! - so it aint cheap, but very effective.

Hope that helps Ray.

Allan
