This was the hydraulic pumping station for Nr 1 Dock at Barry Docks. The dock gates and some of the machinery was hydraulically powered. It is now a listed building but looking for a new owner.

Nice brickwork, a tribute to the men who built it. When I made the model below, I had people queuing up on another forum to tell me '…..bricks don't join at a funny angle like that……..'

So where's the model Doug ? :roll::roll:

Whilst there's certainly some interesting brickwork David, one has to ask why they would "list" a building like that when so many, IMHO, more deserving cases are left to rot ………………

OK Allan - when is the re-start ?  You know you're itching to build something new. :hmm

B  You wait, very soon it will be re-developed into pricey flats/leisure centre/cinema complex. In the mean time the potential investors [interested parties in 'listing' committees?] will be assured that the fabric will be maintained to a certain standard…

C  and for all the plastic-whackers show how to do it step-by-step, please, a la Perry.

I was being sarcastic Doug - suggesting that the photo you posted here could not possibly have been a model - far too realistic ........:roll::roll:
