New structure mfr.

Just a FWIW.

Petite Properties is a popular UK small scale dollhouse and accessories manufacturer in the UK. They have, up until now, created kits in 1:144, 1:24 and 1:48 scales.

Just recently, they have started to expand into model railway scales. They will be doing versions of their kits in 1:76 initially, with plans to create in 1:148 and 1:43.

They made their 1st showing at Warley last November, and were at Doncaster this past weekend.

I've no connection with them, other than a satisfied company, having bought 2 of their 1:48 kits.

Petite Properties were at Doncaster show last weekend and had a few of their models on show I must say they are impressive, the kits are made of laser cut mdf ,they do not come with finished surfaces you need to add your own, they publish a book on how to finish them, priced at £11.99, it contains loads of ideas on how to decorate them, and with what, the kits are very reasonably priced but you do need to pay extra to  complete them the ones at the show used DAS modelling clay to produce stone and brick surfaces they also do their own paints at very reasonable prices, the methods in the book for model finishes are applicable to many methods of model making. I purchaced the book and some paint but the particular kit I wanted had sold out on the saturday but they sell their products online also, so from what I saw I personally would recommend them. check out their web site. Pete.

it was already on fire when I got here, honest!

Yes, I should have mentioned that the kits need finishing materials.

Besides using their methods, I have seen photos of a couple of their 1:48 structures done up for a model railway layout. The builder used embossed plastic and other 'normal' railway modelling items to finish the kits, forgoing the clays and other materials.
