Information needed plkease

I am in desperate need of any information on the above named coaling stage.
I have not found Tyseley very helpful.
I am scratch building this as the central piece to my layout of a section of Tyseley Yard.
An help, drawings, dimensions, images etc would be most welcome.

Try the Warwickshire Railways web site. Good photo of the outside is at http://www.warwickshirerailways.com/gwr/gwrt2398.htm

You can work out heights etc. reasonably accurately using the dimensions of the coal wagon stock.

The maps on the Warwickshire Railways site will give the dimensions for the footprint of the shed and ramps. You may need the OS 1916 map for the scale. OS were pretty accurate.

There are several photographs showing locomotives outside of the coaling stage that will enable the height to be determined, as well as getting the brickwork correct. See photo 1082, 1078, 1077, 1353, 317, 318, 361 (nice brickwork detail), 322, 307 (nice brickwork detail again), 366, 367, and 2363.

Didcot coaling stage (single road) will give also give details of brickwork, windows and water tank construction (plate size, wivets, roof arch radius). Well worth a visit if you want to model what went onside. The GWR was pretty standardized. The ramps up would have had catch points for runaway coal wagons.

Try National Archives, there are quite a few records on Tyseley depot. I would also try the GWRHS, as well as the archives at the Wiltshire and Swindon History Centre, as well as Warwickshire Heritage.

What scale? If 4mm/OO the brick sheets from SE Finecast are big enough to eliminate joins, plus there are window and door arches, etc. Unlike other offerings the motor spaces are almost to scale. Check the bond from the photo's. It should be English (alternate rows of headers and footers).

I use the Warwickshire Railways site quite often, and had been struck by that 2-road coating stage, so not that much effort. I've found that County record's archivists are normally a friendly lot, and it's surprising what they have. I'm not sure when it was built (before 1916) but there should be planning permission and plans somewhere.
