Recently restored and a superb job they have made of it.

The bridge at right angles carries the road across the Dee.

Stunning viaduct, equally as stunning photography.

DM inspires yet once again.

I'm just wondering if there is something DM is not telling us, like: how does he take the photo so steadily while flapping both arms at the same time??

Lovely photos, BTW. Very inspirational.

I just looked at this viaduct on Google maps. Impressive how the viaduct supports half the stations platform…! Question, is this railway line still in operation or is it a heritage line ??

Cheers, Gary.

I can understand why, but I think it's a pity they hid the stone parapet with all that steelwork.

An interesting arrangement with the road bridge below.

Hi Gary,

it's a heritage line - the Llangollen Railway,  with Berwyn being the first station you get to after leaving Llangollen.

Thanks David. All I need to know now is how to pronounce the name of the town a few miles up the road, Glyndyfrdwy…. ;-);-)

…which happens to have a great looking signal box on the railway crossing !

Cheers, Gary.

ps. Can I buy a vowel ??

Gary,
try this site. You can hear it being pronounced (slowly).
