I do like bargain hunting and today I was at the large weekly car boot sale held near Guildford - my wife managed to spot a few bargains but rail related items were a bit thin on the ground (there are sometimes good bargains to be had). As we were about to leave I spotted a parcel of the rail magazine - I bought this for a few pounds and it contains the magazine from the twenties, thirties and fifties - it has references to the Highland Railway so I am a happy bunny (there is even an article talking about how the the railways of the Highland being less full of character as LMS locos had taken over - what would they make of our bland DMU units now!
