Well i was having a mooch round the web and stumbled on this little new publication:

http://www.amazon.co.uk/All-Stations-Longridge-Associated-Railways/dp/1445602008/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1295171790&sr=8-1

It is literally right up my street becuse our house is built on the disused railway 4ft below my backside is the trackway.

I mentioned it to the missus "oh yes i have seen it in the post office but i didn't have any cash on me" :???:

Well its ordered and i am getting giddy.

I wish Ron, i actually feel guilty about living in a dwelling built on the track, especially as it would of been a strong candidate for re-instatement. There is talk of where the trackway is unhindered in Preston of building a tramway which is very feasible.

Digging in the garden hasn't reveiled much other than the odd lump of coal or ballast no sunken Class Fives yet! I shall keep digging.
