For sound deadening and cushioning.

Has anyone ever used anything like this? …..

I know folk use cork, and even cover the whole of their boards with it, but I wonder if that product I've linked to would be suitable.
It's only 3mm thick and self adhesive so it should work. I may just pop to the local B&Q and see it in the flesh.

What do you reckon fellas, any good?

Not used it on a layout Ted but I put some offcuts on the back of plywood boards I use to protect baths while I'm working (Tiler ) been stuck on well over a year in all sorts of conditions and no sign of lifting

Only other thing I would say If its tghe same as I used make sure you get it positioned right first time cos you won't shift it after :thumbs

Thanks for the words of advice Matt, I'll probably end up with it all wrapped around me like fly paper!

It claims to reduce noise transmission by around 22db so it would be interesting to see it in action on a layout …………….:roll::roll:

I've also read that the green fibre board underlay for "clic" flooring is also quite useful for the job - cheap too. ;-)
