Battery Toy Train from Spain

Now I know toy trains are not everyone's idea of model railways. However the Model Railway Collectors Club has any make, any gauge, any age as it's slogan. On holiday is Spain a few years ago I saw these train sets with printed tinplate bodies. To put it in perspective a complete set will cost less than a single new OO loco.
Well I acquired a couple of sets over the years plus some bits off eBay. With the awful weather I finally got to making a couple of videos about these sets. One is the trains running, the other a bit of description of their construction.

The picture is of the layout in standard formation. On the video there are some variations to demonstrate more the Talgo Train capabilities.

Is the track metal or plastic and is it all still in production ?
