Stunning model indeed...

It was a pleasure to see a parcel sitting on the dinning room table today when I got home from work, in the form of an Adams 02. This is an exquisite model to say the least with a tonne of detailing. So a few photos of this little beauty…

Well there you have it. A stunning model that speaks volumn. I have not yet run the loco, but I'm very happy with it so far !

Cheers, Gary.

Looks very good.  I have the BR ones coming plus one of the IoW versions.  The first should be in the mail any day as they have arrived at Camborne now.

I'm told these locos run superbly and are very well balanced.  Reports from RMweb suggest they will go around all but the very sharpest of curves and haul about 5 or 6 coaches as they do so.

Enjoy!

The O2s have a space in the bunker designed for a sugar-cube speaker and the smokebox door pops off its magnet to reveal the chip space.  All in all very well thought out and with the experience of the even smaller 0298 (well tank) class under their belts Dave Jones and all involved have come up trumps again.

Rick, you won't be dissapointed. Now I have this, I have been considering another one. same loco (30225) but in BR livery and no push pull equipment or 30182 with push pull. Both (actually all three including 225) of these locos ran on the Callington Branch, perfect for Kelly Bray ! I better get that layout going again…

As for sound, I better send Paul Chetter a PM to see what sound profile he recommends for the loco. ;-)

Toto, I might post up a video at a latter date, just for you !

Cheers, Gary.

Fantastic detailing and I'm surprised such a small loco has the pulling power Rick suggests.

Does it pick up on all wheels ?

All-wheel pick-up Peter.

Dave Jones has had the loco designed such that the "trailing" wheels on the pony truck pick up power as well as the "drivers" meaning there should also be no stalling on plastic point frogs.

Another ingenious touch is that the truck fixing screw is off-centre in a front-to-back line which apparently helps balance and wheel tracking no end.  It's always been a challenge to et model 0-4-4 locos to balance and run nicely just because of the overhang which amounts to at least half the loco's length.
