I do have a couple of their Leeds liveried trams (they produced 4, I believe), and, for anyone who simply wants to collect trams, the Corgi offerings are superb models.

Of course, they are motorised to run on OO track.
The figures seem nearer O gauge.

I'm sure the motorised version will have an "OO" bogie - "O" would, I think, be too big.
I have no idea why they selected this strange scale and I'm certain it must have reduced their potential market. When you compare the numbers produced with those of EFE, it's pitiful and yet the models are, if anything, slightly better than their smaller competitor.
Had they been 1:76, I'd have snapped up some of the later versions and repainted them……………..
Your starting price seems quite reasonable.

Do you have any idea what motor is in the motorised model ?
If it's a half decent motor, and is "OO" gauge, then I could use it on one of my own bodies …………………:roll::roll:

I've just tested it and it runs fine.
However, I would strongly recommend the jar of meths treatment that was recently illustrated!
Richard wasn't the tidiest chap and it looks a bit dusty.
Identifying marks on the motor:
RO63-056
R317-070
Let me know of any interest and how many hundreds of pounds plus postage it's worth to you!

You did say it's set for "OO" gauge didn't you ?
If so, I'll have a bit of a flutter on the bay but don't book your world cruise just yet ……………
Before I pop over there, what's the time available ? I'm in UK until November 9th - just over another week so would really want to get delivery before I leave if possible, so I can take it back with me …………

It's another motor I had among Richard's bits and bobs.
Yes, it's OO.
Can use the same address as before if you want it.

I'm eager to find out if it works before trying it on my own stuff!
I would have given it a go but I couldn't sort out how to connect the power.
