This is a former cotton mill not far from me. Now in use as something else, nice to see it still standing.
IMG_6953.png I had a print out done on 350 gsm card. To stand next to the chimney. Looks ok , I like the perspective.

This is an old iron foundry down the road from me. Now used as something else.
Done a print out on 350 gsm card. Not bad for £1.20

I think I’ll mount them on some foam board to give them some depth, about 6 or 10 mm board.

Did a backdrop of buildings, there’s 2 scalemodelscenery low relief factories but the rest are just printouts on 350 gsm card. The images are just from google and scaled approximately in word. Just some boarded up houses factory gates and mills. ( the mills are not to scale)

Ps, these print outs are quite cheap where I get them from, a local print shop. I got 4 A4 sheets done for £2. And the other day I had 2 A4 prints done £1.

I have done the same. Real Estate Agents often have quite good photos to 'borrow'.

Hi Claus. I’ve put images like this in between the buildings. It gives it some forced perspective.  IMG_6989.png

thanks. I’ve just ordered some 5 mm black foam board to mount them on. It will give it some rigidity.

 Very interesting Claus. Nice work.

I do pretty much the same as you do. Print on heavy paper and glue onto 1.5mm cardboard or foamboard.

Thanks. I’m just waiting for some 5 mm foam board. I’ll cut it to fit and glue the print outs on it.

Mounted on 5 mm foam board. Much better now they are rigid.
Bought a box of A4 with 10 boards but only used 3.

Scalescenes tower block. Download kit. Had 2 copies printed out on card to make it 12 storeys tall.
I was going to complete the top half later but I could leave it like this as though it’s being constructed. Not sure what to do?
Ps. It’s the final building on the layout now.

If you don't finish the top floors, you should put some railings along the front. I know h&s does require much in your model world, but still.
