What do you use?
Just wondering what others use for working platform lights.I bought some P & D Marsh BR T shape station lamps (obviously not working lights) and although the right style for early 1960s, I think I'd prefer some working lights and somehow they don't look quite right.

I've had a look at Kytes (bit pricey), but they don't really have anything that fits the period.

Also found this mentioned by a few people on another forum.

(name made me grin as well, but they appear to be ok).
These ones in particular look an acceptable style, as I don't think anyone produces working T shape lamps.

Anybody else used them, or have any ideas?

I mostly now use Viessmann products available in the UK via Gaugemaster of Ford among others. A handful of Wehonest lights survive but most have been replaced. Station, street, yard, car park and house lighting all feature on the layout.

The festoon lighting above the beach is a Faller item available from the same source; I use three joined end to end.

Search 'Courtyard Lamp". 10 for £12.00. WeHonest #48. Or make your own using fiber optics and one lamp.

I've seen them both ways round DougEd, is it me? Or should the lamps stand parallel to the platform?

think it depends on the width of the platform.
Do like those Viessmann ones Rick, but they are a bit expensive (I'm going to need at least another three on the other platform) and they look a bit high at 70mm.
Thanks to all, good to get positive comments about WeHonest :thumbs

Pictures aren't too good, but it's in dim light with my little FinePix or you wouldn't see them on

Need tidying up and the light escaping from under the station building needs fixing, but I think they look better than the T shape non-functioning ones.

I put the catenary back upside down.
I didn't even notice until I put the second bit in front of it back up, sat down to run a train and thought……

I put the catenary back upside down.
How did you expect me to spot that when I'm in Australia and already upside down?
