Last time I was in UK I bought a new printer, and to protect the contents from damage, the fitted 3-pin plug was fitted with a plastic cover…………..

Now it's not only my imagination, is it, that thinks they would make good line-side cabinets?

They scale up to 4ft-6ins and 6ft-6ins……………I bet there are dozens thrown away in Dixons etc every week, too.

Nice.  :doublethumb

If only our Australian plug covers were similar.  They are rectangular but are much smaller.  Might make something out of one but more likely a point motor housing.

Even in this day of space age technology, it's always the simple things that are best !!  Well spotted Doug. :thumbs:thumbs:thumbs  Wish we used those plugs here in France.

Cut a few pieces of thin plasticard and glue over the 'boxes' to replicate doors.

Few odd slivers of plastic rod (Evergreen) and you have hinges and a handle to!

Spray with grey primer and weather to your hearts content!

Also make good petrol/diesel pumps to! Used a bead as the 'globe' on top and some thin wire which was coiled and fixed into a small hole drilled in the side.

A piece of paper with the dial drawn on was then added. Whole lot took no more than 5 mins!
