Last notification I got was Friday afternoon at 16.57.

There has been activity on topics I have posted on that I have not received notice of.

I'm currently keeping the website open on my browser.

Still not getting anything. I have checked BT online mail server in case my Outlook was blocking it but it's not getting through to anywhere there - not inbox, not spam. YMRC is marked as a safe sender on the BT mail server..

I have unticked all options, logged out. Logged on, ticked all options (except anonymous browsing) and logged out again. Still nothing since last Friday.

No idea Then Alan, I got email notification about both your PM and last post here ( and others) so system is working. I know occasionally others have had a similar experience which seems to suddenly clear ?

Ok sorry Alan, checked and as you've reported, your email is working fine outwith YMRC. Unfortunately the Ghost of the  YMRC Software seems to have picked you out for a spell on the naughty step ( nothing you've done  ! )
So we will just have to wait till it's bored and moves on to another victim. I've asked Breakage to check the CPanel email client just in case your email has been flagged as that of a master Criminal, but other than that I'm afraid it's down to this old creaky, knackered Software we are on.

Cheers

Matt

Ok Matt, thanks for looking into it.

Never been on the naughty step before - I was that boring child who never (hang on - ALMOST never) did anything wrong!

So i don't have a definitive answer to why this is happening - but sometimes there are limits on the number of emails a sender can send in an hour/given period of time to prevent spamming. It could be that if multiple threads get updated it's hitting that limit somewhere.
Though in that scenario i would kinda expect all email to stop and it doesn't seem like that's the case.

I'll have a dig round the server and see if there's any obvious settings - but as an aside - I've never received any mail from PM's/Threads not matter how i have things set - old site host and new - so seems I'm permanently on the naughty step.

Signatures? Where we're going we don't need no stinking signatures!

Definitely an intermittent problem. I'm getting notifications on some topics but not others, including my own Heybridge Basin.

Just means I need to keep logging in regularly to pick up activity.

I have just noticed the same problem. not getting advice of posts. Not that I am overly concerned as I visit the forum daily.

Just got notification of your post Ron and am regularly getting others. Might be worth double checking that you have still got the topics watched and that your settings are on in your profile to send email notifications ? Just in case it's been re set somehow

Interesting Matt, it is the mods forum that is ticked & that is the one I didn't get & I will now watch this thread to see what happens.
